Kirsten Sheridan is directing the film from a screenplay she co-wrote with Richard Barton Lewis, Nick Castle, and Jim Hart. Lewis is producing "August Rush" with Robert Greenhut, Miky Lee, Ralph Kamp and Louise Goodsill executive producing. John Mathieson is the director of photograph and Michael Shaw is onboard as the production designer.
According to a press release issued by Warner Bros, Phil Ramone will produce three of the nearly three dozen musical tracks featured in the movie. Hans Zimmer and Mark Mancina will create the movie's main theme, with Mancina also composing the score.
