Filming has begun in Atlanta on the movie "Angel From Montgomery," a Paramount Pictures movie starring country superstar Toby Keith, Kelly Preston, Burt Reynolds, Willie Nelson, Tess Harper, Anna Maria Horsford, and Lindsey Haun. "Angel From Montgomery" will be the first feature film from Paramount's newly formed CMT Films division.Cherie Bennett and Jeff Gottesfeld wrote the script. "Angel From Montgomery" will be directed by Steven Goldmann and produced by Sara Risher and Donald Zuckerman.
The movie follows two former high school sweethearts Bo Price (Toby Keith) and Angela Delton (Kelly Preston) who return home after the deaths of their younger brothers. According to a press release issued by CMT, Keith will play "a country music singer who has fallen from the spotlight and whose life changes after coming home, reuniting with his true love and meeting his 16-year old daughter (Lindsey Haun) for the first time."
"Angel From Montgomery" is scheduled for release in 2006.
