Hot off his successful directing stint on Casino Royale, Martin Campbell will helm the movie 36. Set up at Paramount Pictures, 36 is a remake of the French film, 36 Quai des Orfèvres.
Campbell helped reinvigorate the James Bond franchise with Casino Royale, one of most commercially successful films of the series. His next project is Unstoppable, a dramatic thriller currently in pre-production.
Richard Price (Freedomland) is currently at work on the screenplay. The original film involved two police detectives competing for their department's top spot. Promised the promotion for taking down a gang of vicious robbers, the competition gets brutal when the line between the good guys and the bad becomes blurred.
