I really dislike movies with long titles, so in my book there's already a strike against Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo. But Disney didn't ask for my input so I'll just have to live with it. Clunky title though, isn't it?
Variety's reporting that 2LUtSCP has found a director and the studio's hoping to get the film into production as quickly as possible. McG, director of Charlie's Angels, We Are Marshall and the upcoming Terminator Salvation, is set to direct Disney's family-friendly film based on the novel by Jules Verne.
According to Variety, 2LUtSCP will focus on Nemo as he builds his special ship, the Nautilus.
McG's keeping super busy as his Terminator Salvation hits theaters on May 22nd. He's also committed to working on the next Terminator movie, which will be the fifth film of the franchise.
