Feb 28, 2006 - "When a Stranger Calls" star Camilla Belle and Steven Strait from "Undiscovered" have been cast in the lead roles in the Warner Bros big-budget drama, "10,000 BC."

Roland Emmerich ("The Day After Tomorrow") is set to direct the film with Warner Bros aiming for a summer 2007 release. The movie was initially set up by Columbia Pictures however WB recently picked it up and plan on using "10,000 BC" as one of their major summer releases.

According to Variety, Strait will play a lowly primitive caveman who is in love with a princess (Belle) way out of his league. When the princess is kidnapped, he has to save her and keep his tribe from being exterminated.

Michael Wimer and Mark Gordon are producing "10,000 BC." Robert Rodat rewrote the script after a first draft by Emmerich and Harold Kloser.

Filming is expected to begin in late April.
