Pop Star Turned Actress Mandy Moore Joins "Because I Said So"

Starring Diane Keaton and Directed by Michael Lehmann

Nov 11, 2005 - Mandy Moore will play Oscar-winner Diane Keaton's daughter in the movie "Because I Said So," written by Karen Leigh Hopkins and Jessie Nelson and directed by Michael Lehmann ("Heathers") for Gold Circle Films.

According to Variety, "Because I Said So" will feature Keaton as a mom who wants her youngest daughter (Moore) to make the right choices and so she decides to set her up with Mr Right.

Universal Pictures will distribute the film domestically. Filming is expected to begin in just a few weeks.

Mandy Moore will next be seen in "Romance and Cigarettes" and has just finished work on "American Dreamz" and "Southland Tales."
