Molly, the freewheeling daughter of a late rock legend, has her inheritance stolen and is forced to get a job. She becomes a nanny to precocious 8 year-old Ray. Emotionally distant from her executive mother, Ray has grown up with too little stability. Molly and Ray both feel alone in the world, but as they try to make their new arrangement work, each discovers in the other a true friend.
