Filming Begins on "Mission Impossible 3"

Filming has begun on "Mission Impossible 3" starring Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Maggie Q, Michelle Monaghan, Keri Russell, and Laurence Fishburne.

In "Mission Impossible 3," Cruise reprises his role as Special Agent Ethan Hunt and Ving Rhames returns as Luther Stickell. Hoffman will be the main villain of while Laurence Fishburne gets to be a good guy and play Cruise's old mentor. Monaghan is set to play Cruise's love interest.

Tom Cruise is also producing "MI3" with his Cruise/Wagner partner, Paula Wagner. JJ Abrams will direct and helped write this third installment in the big-budget/big-action series. Alex Kurtzman-Counter and Roberto Orci also wrote the script. Filming is scheduled to take place throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The studio has set May 5, 2006 as the date of release.
