Joaquin Phoenix went out of his way to confirm that he's leaving acting behind for music while at the November 1st premiere of Two Lovers, a romantic drama that finds Phoenix torn between two women. Phoenix proclaimed Two Lovers will be his last movie as he moves on to concentrate on his music career.

The actor who's known to be a little eccentric in interviews actually went as far as to have the words Good and Bye! written across his knuckles for all to see at the film's LA premiere during the 2008 AFI Los Angeles International Film Festival. In an interview with AP, Phoenix confirmed what he'd told 'Extra' just days prior. "I think it's just moving on. It's rediscovering something else," said Phoenix.

Phoenix has been appearing in films since 1986 when he starred in the family friendly sci-fi movie SpaceCamp (he was going by Leaf Phoenix at that time). Phoenix earned an Academy Award nomination in 2006 for Best Actor for his portrayal of music legend Johnny Cash in Walk the Line, a role which helped spark his interest in music. The fiery 34 year old actor also picked up an Oscar nomination in 2001 for his supporting role in Ridley Scott's Gladiator.
