The Bottom Line

"MirrorMask" is the sort of movie the DVD format was made for. A fantasy film so good and so beautiful to watch you have to sit through it twice to fully appreciate the movie. You'll also want to keep your remote handy to back things up and use slow motion to check out certain scenes. I'm telling you, this movie is addictive. And I also guarantee you'll never listen to "Close to You" quite the same way again.

Guide Review - "MirrorMask" DVD Review

A synopsis of "MirrorMask" simply can't do the movie justice. The story - in it's very basic form - is about a beautiful young woman named Helena. Helena works for her family's struggling circus and she's not happy about it. However being that it's in her family's blood, she must do her part to keep the show going on and audiences entertained.

Helena's life in the circus takes a bizarre turn when she enters a dream world where all the creatures are utterly fantastic looking. She must find a special mask in order to change places with her evil double who has somehow managed to replace her back in the real world.

Jam-packed with bonus features, "MirrorMask" is a must-have for fantasy fans. If you loved "Labyrinth" or "The Dark Crystal," "MirrorMask" is meant for you.
