Ewan McGregor Chooses His Next Four Roles

And They're All in One Movie

Ewan McGregor, who will forever be known to "Star Wars" fans as Obi-Wan Kenobi, has signed on to star in a British comedy for writer/director Peter Capaldi. McGregor will play four different characters in the film, which should really cut down on Capaldi’s casting headaches.

The film, which as of now doesn't have a title, will have McGregor playing a Hollywood star from the 1930s as well as his stand-in and two of the characters from the movie the star's acting in. Sounds confusing? Add in the fact the movie within the movie is set in the 18th century and it's enough to make your head spin.

Ewan McGregor recently told Variety,, "I have wanted to work with Peter forever, and this project could not be a better film to do together. He has written a compelling, complex, original, sweet, funny and eccentric movie, and for me the challenge of playing several roles in it is most exciting."

Filming on the untitled comedy will begin early next year. Ewan McGregor will next be seen onscreen in the thriller, "Stay," co-starring Naomi Watts and Ryan Gosling. McGregor's currently busy onstage playing Sky Masterson in the West End production of "Guys and Dolls."
