Interesting Fact:

Alison Lohman's youthful appearance has allowed her to play teen roles while in her mid-20s. At age 26 she starred as a 16-year-old horse enthusiast in Flicka.

Her Background:

Lohman cut her teeth in musical theater and landed her first professional role at the age of 9 as Gretyl Von Trapp in The Sound of Music at Palm Desert's McCallum Theater.

Breakthrough Role:

Lohman's first starring role in a major feature film came in the 2002 dramatic movie White Oleander alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and Renee Zellweger. Lohman won critical acclaim (there was even mention of a possible Oscar nomination) as the teenage daughter of a prisoner who goes through a series of foster homes.
