Lee, who is red hot right now thanks to his hit TV series My Name is Earl, joins director Frederik Du Chau for the film which follows the adventures of a simple dog who, when trouble is near, turns into a superhero named Underdog.
Peter Dinklage (The Station Agent) will portray Underdog's nemesis, Simon Barsinister.
Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber, Jonathan Glickman, and Jay Polstein are producing the film.
