Guide Review - "Ladder 49" on DVD
BONUS FEATURES:
The bonus features on "Ladder 49" are first-rate. I wasn't a fan of the movie during its theatrical release, however the DVD won me over. The DVD bonus features more than made up for what was emotionally missing from the film itself.
Along with the usual assortment of deleted scenes and director's commentary track, "Ladder 49" features a treasure chest full of behind-the-scenes featurettes. In particular the "Everyday Heroes" segment is definitely worth checking out. Showcasing real firefighters, "Everyday Heroes" is what "Ladder 49" the movie meant to be - a compelling story of the brave men and women who put their lives on the line day after day.
The "Ladder 49" DVD also includes almost a half an hour of Making Of featurettes, allowing viewers inside the staging of the fire sequences and providing audiences with a look at the production of the film.
