Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman (The Hours) will be taking over the role Marilyn Monroe played in a new remake of How to Marry a Millionaire for 20th Century Fox. Kidman will star in the comedy as well as produce the film with her Blossom Films production company.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new How to Marry a Millionaire will be set in contemporary times and will not follow the 1953 film's plot very closely. The Terminal screenwriter, Sacha Gervasi, is working on the script.
Nicole Kidman recently completed work on The Invasion with Daniel Craig and The Golden Compass (also with Craig). Kidman's currently at work on Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann's Australia epic.
