Catherine Keener Joins "40 Year Old Virgin"

Nov. 2004 - Catherine Keener will play Steve Carell's love interest in "40 Year Old Virgin," a movie that's being described as a middle-age coming of age comedy. Writer/producer Apatow wrote the script with Carell, and will be making his feature film directorial debut with "40 Year Old Virgin."

While working together on "Anchorman," Carell and Apatow came up with the story for "40 Year Old Virgin." Apatow recently told The Hollywood Reporter, "I was constantly amazed how funny Steve was on the set of 'Anchorman' and wanted to create an opportunity where he was the lead."

Steve Carell is currently filming "Bewitched" with his "Anchorman" star, Will Ferrell.
