According to The Associated Press, Jolie filed her adoption request through a private adoption agency. Jolie's son Maddox was adopted from a Cambodian orphanage. The baby girl is less than one year old, however no other personal stats were disclosed.
Jolie is quoted on the People magazine website as saying she and her son Maddox are "very happy to have a new addition to our family." Jolie also disclosed the baby's name will be Zahara Marley Jolie.
Jolie and her "Mr and Mrs Smith" co-star Brad Pitt have been linked romantically, with rumors circling the couple since they worked together on that romantic action comedy. However both Jolie and Pitt have denied they are romantically involved and Jolie is adopting the baby girl as a single woman.
