Basically its about a wealthy businessman - played by Bill Paxton - and he goes to the Cayman Islands because hes got some tax issues in the states. He also goes there with a large sum of money. My character, Richie Rich, hes owed money on the island. He thinks hes like the local kind of bad boy, a gangster or whatever, but hes really just a big fish in a small pond. So anyway, he ends up kind of chasing Bill Paxtons character around the island trying to get the money.
Theres three or four parallel stories going on within. Its really interesting. Its a really interesting ride. Many dynamics and all the characters are well-rounded and three dimensional so its definitely fun."
Raz Adoti on Being a Part of a Large Cast of Characters: "Its an ensemble piece and so it is what it is, and thats what makes it so good. Youre not just focused on just one persons journey. There are many journeys and we kind of intertwine a little bit as well. We kind of disperse and do our own thing in our own stories and then we come back. We blend into each others stories. Its really intelligently done."
Raz Adoti's Initial Reaction to "Haven:" "I read it and I thought, Wow. I was captivated. When I first read it it kind of reminded me of Pulp Fiction a little bit, just because of the different stories. But its kind of more amalgamated than that. It is in sections but theres a lot more cross-over within the stories."
Next Up for Raz Adoti: "Im about to go to Vancouver, I think, to do a project called 'Hard Corps' with Vivica Fox and, I think, DMX and Jean-Claude Van Damme as well. I play a boxer in that and I help put this guy in jail, played by DMX. He gets out of jail early so my sister Vivica Fox hires a bodyguard, Van Damme, to protect me. I resent the whole thing of having a bodyguard in my space. I really dont feel I need it.
Its about putting away the bad guy and at the same time bringing him to justice. Its a great cast and well written."
Raz Adoti Shares His Opinion on a "Doom" Sequel: Adoti, who co-starred as Duke in "Doom" with The Rock, Karl Urban, Rosamund Pike, believes there probably will be a "Doom 2." "Yeah, I hope so. It just got a tremendous reaction. To be honest, obviously I was at the premiere but then when it came out on Friday, I snuck into my local theater at the back with a baseball cap just to watch the audience reaction with a real audience, you know? And they were cheering and clapping. When the first-person shooter came up, they just went bananas. Theres definitely an audience out there. People definitely love it. I think theyll do another one."
