You'd think being the star of a hit show like Prison Break would give Dominic Purcell's movie career a big boost. But his latest release, Primeval, was suddenly dropped in January without even a press junket scheduled. We haven't forgotten about him though, so we're still happy to talk about his movies.

How do you feel about the way they dropped Primeval with no press?
“It’s funny, it depends on how you equate press. I saw a lot of press for Primeval. What happened was they just pushed the release date up so we missed out on three months. But it is what it is. Disney had their reasons. I think the primary reason was there was another movie that had a similar kind of content from Miramax that was coming out in April.

You played a journalist in the film. What do you think of journalists?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a journalist. More of a cameraman kind of journalist or a photographer. I’ve always wanted to do that.”

What do you think of them now that you're a celebrity?
“Journalists? They’re all right. Look, journalists are good. I haven’t yet come across a journalist that’s been an ass to me, so wait and see until that day happens and then I’ll answer that question when that does.”

Do you have any other movies lined up?
“I’m doing a movie with Joel Schumacher in March, April, May in Romania. I’m playing an Iraqi vet who basically comes back to the States and gets captured, tortured by this family that has allegiances to the Nazi regime. So I’d say it’s a thriller/action/horror movie.”

Are you concerned about playing another prisoner?
“No, no, no, no, no. We pick it up as I’ve escaped and then I take my vengeance out on them.”
