Considering she’s the one who said she’s happy to stick with TV, Felicity Huffman is doing the most movie work of all her Desperate Housewives colleagues. After her Oscar-nominated work in Transamerica, she’ll be seen in Georgia Rule. Get the scoop on her latest cinematic work as she’s settling back into her TV grind, and remember to catch up on Desperate Housewives Season Two DVD before the new episodes start.

When did you have time to do another movie?
“I started the movie two weeks before Desperate Housewives started and so I did that for two weeks and then Desperate Housewives started.”

Is it a small role?
“Yeah, it’s called Georgia Rule. It’s the Garry Marshall movie with Jane Fonda and Lindsay Lohan.”

This is more serious for Marshall, right?
“Yeah. It’s both. It’s lighthearted and it’s also got some drama and some dark places but it’s also funny. So it’s great.”

Who is your character?
“I play Jane Fonda’s daughter and Lindsay Lohan’s mother.”

But it’s about abuse and molestation. What funny moments are there in that story?
“Well, if you saw As Good as it Gets or Life as a House, Mark Andrus has a talent of finding not only the dramatic and the poignant, but also the funny.”

Do you have any deleted scenes on the Desperate Housewives Season Two DVD?
“I don't know, I haven’t seen them.”

People criticized Season Two. How do you perceive it?
“I might be the lone voice in the wilderness, but I gotta say I thought last season was brilliant. And I thought the first season was brilliant. I didn’t think that there was a dip in quality or storylines or drama or comedy or anything. I thought it was fantastic.”

That Nora chick is insane. Do you think Lynette will have to kill her by the season finale?
“I don't know if I’m going to join the line of murderers on Wisteria lane. I think I’ll want to murder her, but I don't think I’ll ever go ahead with it. It’s brilliantly played by Kiersten Warren.”

Where is your character going this year?
“She’s dealing with kind of the mess of Tom’s love child and the crazy mom that comes along, which is again played by Kiersten Warren, so they’re heavily featured so our family is dealing with that drama.”

Will there be more group scenes?
“The women together? I’m trying to think if we had a lot of scenes in the first episode which we just finished shooting. Yeah, we had a couple scenes together and we have a couple scenes together in the second episode. I guess so. That’s up to him.”

What do you think of the nickname Filliam H. Muffman?
“I heard about that. Actually you’re the first person who actually said it out loud but I think it’s hysterical. I love it.”
