Jerry Bruckheimer Interview

What brings you here?
"I’m a friend of Bob’s and a supporter of UCLA so killing two birds tonight."

You’ve got shows on another network though.
"It’s okay, it’s all right. We’re doing some stuff with them now."

Have you noticed any changes at the studio since Rober Iger came onboard?
"He’s got a lot of wonderful people working for him and they love him. He’s going to do great things. He already has. He certainly is on the cutting edge of technology and a lot of other things."

Do you pitch your projects to him directly?
"No, we deal with his lieutenants."

Have you noticed a type of project he’s more interested in?
"No, it’s just business as usual. We know what a Disney movie is. We know what kind of things they like. Dick Cook runs the motion picture division and he’s a wonderful individual."

Has Pirates 3 wrapped?
"No, it’s still going."

Forever and ever?
"Hopefully not forever and over. It should end up in the next six weeks, it should be done."

Are you happy with it?
"Fantastic. You’re going to be thrilled."

And Deja Vu comes out soon?
"November 22nd. It’s a romantic thriller with Denzel Washington, Jim Caviezel and Val Kilmer. It’s got a great cast."

Will it mess with our minds like the great time travel movies do?
"Let’s hope. In a good way."
