"Ice Age" Super Cool Edition DVD

The Bottom Line

"Ice Age" is one of those goofy animated films you can watch over and over and over again. In other words, it's the perfect film to own on DVD. There's enough action and colorful characters to keep the young ones entertained, while adults will also - if you can get them to own up to it - find themselves caught up in the frozen world of "Ice Age."

Guide Review - "Ice Age" Super-Cool Edition DVD

Denis Leary, Ray Romano and John Leguizamo lend their voices to "Ice Age," the beautiful CGI-animated family film set in...well...the Ice Age.

Three very unlikely traveling companions - a sloth, a mammoth, and a saber-toothed tiger - make their way through ice packs and avalanches on an adventure-filled trip to return a baby boy to his father.

So why should you check out the new Super Cool Edition of "Ice Age?" Good question. If you own the original, unless you're a huge fan of extra features you probably don't need to rush right out and grab this new DVD. But if "Ice Age" isn't part of your DVD collection, then renting or buying this new expanded Super Cool edition is just the ticket. There's a treasure trove of extra features - some educational, some just entertaining - and the film itself is worth checking out again.
