Kelly Hu kicking butt was always pretty hot, but it doesn't get much hotter than Kelly Hu playing an Asian massage parlor babe. In In Case of Emergency, she plays a former valedictorian who turns to giving happy endings to make ends meet. The comedy begins when former schoolmate Harry (Jonathan Silverman), desperate for some affection, pays for her services.

What did you think when you saw that "massage" scene in the script?
“I thought it was great. I thought there was so much you could do with it. It's so funny. And I love the fact that she's also the valedictorian of her class. She's not like your everyday massage parlor girl. She's smart and she's sensitive but she has a very tough exterior… I think I have some of the best scenes where I get to sort of be very sensitive and vulnerable and because I play such a tough character, those scenes I think stand out even more.”

How was shooting the opening scene with Jonathan?
“It was really funny because I'm usually the person naked in the scene and this time it was Jonathan. But I have to say, it was more awkward for me, I think, on the other end having to sort of be the clothed one in the room because I'm not used to it. I know that he was really, really nervous about it and it made me feel very self-conscious for him. All he was wearing was a tiny little towel and it was a good switch, but it was a little awkward for me.”

Do you stay in touch with high school friends?
“Yeah, my two best friends in Hawaii are still my best friends. One of the girls that I've known since elementary school actually, I still see. And this past Christmas, I stayed at my girlfriend's house who I knew from seventh grade and we all went to high school together. I think when you come from a small town like that, often you keep those friends dear to you.”

Will you get a love interest on show?
“I hope so. I sure hope so. Right now, it looks like it's going to go one way. But then it ends up going another. And it's quite shocking but it's fun.”

Who is your emergency contact?
“Sheryl, my publicist and best friend. I've actually written her on my list.”

Will your character start pursuing a different career?
“As of right now, it looks like she's kind of stuck in the massage parlor. She's going to try to get out, but things don't always work out the way you want them to.”

Are you doing an accent on the show?
“Only sometimes. I do it when I am in the massage parlor.”
