June 22, 2007 - Kate Hudson has joined the cast of the Lionsgate comedy, My Best Friend's Girl.* Dane Cook already committed to starring in the movie which marks his third feature film with Lionsgate behind Employee of the Month and Good Luck Chuck.
Jordan B Cahan wrote the screenplay and Howard Deutch (The Whole Ten Yards) will direct. Lionsgate's hoping to begin filming later this summer.
My Best Friend's Girl follows Cook as a man whose job is to make sure women have miserable experiences when dating him so that they'll think twice about the man they just dumped.
