Guide Review - "Hotel Rwanda" DVD Review
Rusesabagina's incredible story inspired this profoundly moving film, which stars Cheadle, Sophie Okonedo, and Nick Nolte, and there's no mistaking how deeply Don Cheadle was affected by playing Paul Rusesabagina/ All you need to do is listen to him discuss selected scenes from the film to understand how this role continues to stay with him. Had it not been for Jamie Foxx and "Ray," 2004 might have been Don Cheadle's year to win the Oscar.
Even if you were fortunate enough to catch a screening of "Hotel Rwanda" during its limited theatrical run, you'll want to check out "Hotel Rwanda" on DVD. The two documentaries, as well as the commentary tracks, add another important layer to the film and provide an in-depth look at the story that inspired the movie.
