Walt Disney Records is set to launch the soundtrack to High School Musical 3: Senior Year into stores on October 21st in advance of the film's October 24, 2008 release. 10 new songs written just for the film by Matthew Gerrard, Robbie Nevil, Jamie Houston, Andy Dodd, and Adams Watts will be included on the soundtrack.
The first movie of the High School Musical series to be released theatrically, High School Musical 3: Senior Year reunites the stars of the first two movies - Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman - for what looks to be one final high school escapade with the featured cast. The story finds the Wildcats dealing with a spring musical, the prom, a basketball championship, and the prospect of leaving the safety of high school to face the unknown world of colleges and jobs.
