"Knocked Up" is the story of a guy who finds out a woman he had a one night stand with is pregnant.
Apatow's "The 40 Year Old Virgin" was a huge box office success and helped make the case that audiences are willing to fork over the bucks to see a decent comedy - even if it's rated R. There's no word yet on what rating Apatow is aiming for with "Knocked Up." "Virgin" and "Knocked Up" are both backed by Universal Studios so odds are that if Apatow wants to go for the more restrictive R rating, he'll be allowed to without much pressure from studio bigwigs.
Anne Hathaway recently completed work on "The Devil Wears Prada," the big screen version of the novel by Lauren Weisberger. Paul Rudd's been keeping busy with roles in "Fast Track," "Diggers" and "I Could Never Be Your Woman."
