Josh Hartnett and Samuel L Jackson Team Up for Resurrecting the Champ

March 24, 2006 - Josh Hartnett has signed on to play a reporter in the dramatic movie, Resurrecting the Champ, for writer/director Rod Lurie. Samuel L Jackson also made room in his busy schedule for the film which is scheduled to begin shooting this June.

Jackson will star as a homeless man who is mistaken for a famous boxer by Hartnett's character. According to Variety, the story's based on articles by Los Angeles Times reporter J R Moehringer.

Hartnett will next be seen in Lucky Number Slevin with Bruce Willis and The Black Dahlia for director Brian De Palma.

Jackson has Snakes on a Plane opening in a few months and just wrapped work on Black Snake Moan.
