Daniel Radcliffe loves music and used to take guitar lessons before his shooting schedule made him put them on hold. Radcliffe's also a huge fan of the Fulham Football Club.

Role That Got Him Noticed:

This one's a real no-brainer. Playing Harry Potter made Daniel Radcliffe into one of the most recognizable actors of his generation.

TV Credits:

Radcliffe appeared on British TV in December 1999 playing the young David Copperfield in David Copperfield. Maggie Smith also appeared in that production before taking on the role of Professor McGonagall in the Harry Potter movies.

Notable Movie Credits:

Radcliffe's first feature film role was in The Tailor of Panama in which he played Jamie Lee Curtis and Geoffrey Rush's son. In 2000 he landed the starring role in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone playing the boy wizard (also known as The Chosen One). Radcliffe signed on to play Harry Potter in all eight of the movies (book 7 was split into two parts). The last film of the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, is due to hit theaters in 2011.

Before filming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Radcliffe took on December Boys, a coming-of-age drama directed by Rob Hardy.

Even Daniel Radcliffe Can't Avoid Controversy:

Some Harry Potter fans - and their parents - were upset over Daniel Radcliffe's decision to star in a stage version of Equus. Radcliffe, who appeared nude in the play, earned critical praise for his performance and even won over Harry Potter fans who packed the audience.

On Kissing in 'Order of the Phoenix' Versus Being Naked on Stage in 'Equus':

Radcliffe talked about the difference in a July 2007 interview: "Well, I did the kiss first and I think the reason that it wasn't a problem or a sort of worry in the slightest was that in the back of my mind, I was thinking 'I'll be naked on stage in six months, I've got to get over this.' Because if that's a worry, then the whole [nude blinding horses] would be a greater worry. But really, the kiss was sort of more of a big deal than perhaps… Everyone sort of assumed it was a really big moment but it's sort of just like doing any other scene, really, which is very disappointing for people to hear I know but that's unfortunately how it was."
