Multiple Oscar-winner Tom Hanks has agreed to star in the movie How Starbucks Saved My Life with director Gus Van Sant in talks to helm the film for Universal Pictures.The Hollywood Reporter reports Universal Pictures snatched up the fictional book proposal by Michael Gates Gill. Hanks would star as an advertising executive who takes a job at Starbucks after being fired from his high-paying job.
Hanks will next be seen in the film, The Da Vinci Code, based on the controversial bestselling novel by Dan Brown. Hanks' production company has loads of projects in the works including Charlie Wilson's War, Where the Wild Things Are, and The Great Buck Howard.
