Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon Consider "Rendition"

Oct 4, 2006 - Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) and Oscar-nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain) are close to closing deals to star in the film, Rendition, directed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi) and penned by Kelly Sane.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story follows a CIA analyst (Gyllenhaal) who's thrown for a loop after witnessing the Egyptian secret police interrogate a foreign national.

New Line Cinema is aiming for a November 2006 start date. Plans are to shoot Rendition in Los Angeles, South Africa, Morocco and Washington.
