Richard Gere to Star in "The Flock"

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting Richard Gere has been cast in Hong Kong director Andrew Lau's English-language movie debut, "The Flock."

Gere will play a federal agent who's investigating a paroled sex offender when a young girl goes missing. He's convinced her disappearance has something to do with the man he's investigating.

Hans Bauer and Craig Mitchell penned the script. Lau, Eli Samaha, Jeanette Kahn, Adam Richman, and Bauer Martinez will produce "The Flock."

Richard Gere will next be seen in Fox Searchlight's "Bee Season" and is currently at work on "The Hoax" for director Lasse Hallstrom.
