Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar has said yes to being a part of the movie Addicted, a thriller from Swedish directors Joel Bergvall and Simon Sandquist.Adapted from the 2002 film Jungdok by Michael Petroni, Addicted stars Gellar as a woman whose husband and brother-in-law wind up in comas following an accident. Things turn truly bizarre when her bro-in-law wakes up and claims to be her husband.
It's no surprise Gellar took on a role in another thriller as her track record in the thriller/horror film genre is pretty solid. The former star of Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series boasts a filmography that includes box office/genre successes including I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, and the American remake of the Japanese film, The Grudge.
Filming is expected to begin on Addicted in October 2006.
