After taking a break from films to spend time with her daughter Violet, Jennifer Garner's ready to get back in front of the cameras. Recently seen in the romantic comedy Catch and Release, one of Garner's next projects appears to be a starring role in Warner Bros Pictures' remake of the 1945 movie Christmas in Connecticut.
Garner's not only set to star in Christmas in Connecticut but will also be handling a producing role through her production company, Vandalia Films. Warner Bros Pictures hasn't yet announced either a screenwriter or a director for the remake of the classic romantic comedy.
Peter Godfrey directed the original 1945 film which starred Barbara Stanwyck and Dennis Morgan. Stanwyck played newspaper columnist who wrote about life on her country farm with her husband and baby, and used her column to dispense recipes. But right before Christmas the paper's owner decided it would be great publicity for her to welcome a war hero into her cozy home for the holiday. The problem - she actually is unmarried and lives in an apartment in New York.
