"Garden State" Filmmaker Zach Braff Signs on to Direct a Gavin DeGraw Video

"Scrubs" Star Zach Braff Direct's Gavin DeGraw's "Chariot" Music Video

NEW YORK, March 25, 2005 - Zach Braff, the director of the critically acclaimed independent film "Garden State" and star of NBC's "Scrubs" has signed on to direct the music video for Gavin DeGraw's new single "Chariot." The shoot is scheduled to happen in Los Angeles on Tuesday, March 29, 2005. "I have been a fan of Gavin's music for a while, and I think he is an amazing talent. I am excited to work with him," says Zach Braff. Comments Gavin DeGraw: "Zach and I met at one of my shows and I was so flattered to hear he was a fan of my music. He has a great vision for the "Chariot" video, and I'm really excited to work with him." In addition to the overwhelming attention Braff has received for his first feature film, he also won the Grammy this year for his work as compilation producer for the "Garden State" soundtrack.

DeGraw's "Chariot" was #1 most added at Top 40 and Hot AC radio its first week out at radio this month.

Gavin DeGraw is currently on a sold out tour with support acts Michael Tolcher and Jem. DeGraw's debut album Chariot (J Records), released July 2003, has just been certified platinum by the RIAA, and his single "I Don't Want To Be" reached the #1 spot on the Top 40 Radio.
