Sep 21, 2008 - The House Bunny star Anna Faris will lend her voice to Sony Pictures Animation's 3D film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, based on the children's book by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett. Also signing on to the comedy movie are Bill Hader, James Caan, Andy Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Mr. T, and Tracy Morgan.
Sony Pictures Animation plans to release Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on January 15, 2010.
Chris Miller (Shrek the Third) and Phil Lord adapted the book and will direct the film. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a food-centric comedy set in a land where food falls from the sky like rain.
According to a press release issued by Sony Pictures Animation, Bill will voice Flint Lockwood, a young inventor who dreams of creating something that will improve everyone's life. Anna Faris provides the voice of Sam Sparks, a perky weathergirl covering the phenomenon. James Caan is Tim Lockwood, Flint's technophobic father. Andy Samberg brings the character of the town bully, Brent, to life while Bruce Campbell takes on the role of Mayor Shelbourne. Gruff-voiced Mr. T is police officer Earl Devereaux, and Tracy Morgan is his son, Cal.
