Guide Review - "Failure to Launch" DVD Review
Matthew McConaughey stars as Tripp, a likeable boat dealer who's so comfortable living with mom and dad (played by Kathy Bates and Terry Bradshaw) that he has no intention of leaving their comfortable home. Mom and pop love him, but enough is enough. They want some privacy and the freedom to walk around the house naked if the mood strikes.Sarah Jessica Parker enters the picture as Paula, the solution to the 'failure to launch' problem. Paula will make Tripp fall in love and want to leave the nest in order to have a little privacy of his own. But with Tripp's relationship track record, getting him to take the big step isn't as easy as Paula predicted.
With terrific performances from the entire cast (including supporting actors Justin Bartha, Bradley Cooper, and Zooey Deschanel), "Failure to Launch" is a romantic comedy treat - and a decent 'date night' movie.
