The best DVD of 2004 hits stores just in time for the holidays. "Lord of the Rings" fans are going to feel like they've died and gone to heaven. Writer/director Peter Jackson treats his audience to 50 more minutes of the film incorporated smoothly into the theatrically released version. Bonus features include more than a dozen documentaries as well as commentary by Jackson, the production team, and the cast.
Will Smith stars as a man who absolutely hates robots in this freaky sci-fi/adventure tale based on the works of Isaac Asimov. Bonus features include commentary by director Alex Proyas and writer Akiva Goldsman as well as a "Making Of" featurette.
If you don't mind seeing Tom Cruise play a bad guy, then "Collateral" should be high on your list of must-see movies. Michael Mann's direction gives LA an other-worldly feel and brings out terrific performances in Cruise and Jamie Foxx. Bonus features include behind-the-scenes footage and a "Making Of" featurette.
