Guide Review - "The Big Lebowski" Collector's Edition DVD Review
Basically the story follows stoner/slacker Jeff 'The Dude' Lebowski (Jeff Bridges) who, after being mistaken for the wealthiest guy in town who also happens to be named Lebowski, sets out to make someone pay for his ruined rug. John Goodman co-stars as The Dude's bowling buddy, Walter, an equally interesting character. There's also Julianne Moore as a naked artist, John Turturro as a Latino bowler who has a thing for the color purple, and Steve Buscemi as The Dude's buddy Donny who's a couple of french fries short of a Happy Meal.
If you haven't yet discovered "The Big Lebowski" on cable, now's the time to pick it up on DVD. Much more original and entertaining than the films currently in theatrical release, "The Big Lebowski" is one of those movies you won't soon forget and are likely to pop into the DVD player every couple of months just for a laugh. However if you already own the movie on DVD, there's no reason to buy this latest version. There's really nothing new to this Collector's Edition that sets it apart and makes it worth forking over another $20 to purchase.
