The Bottom Line

This mockumentary takes the frenzied business of planning weddings and turns it on its head. Featuring a stellar cast, Confetti is hugely entertaining. If you need to convince your bride or groom-to-be that eloping is the best idea, pick this one up.

Guide Review - "Confetti" DVD Review

Three very different couples compete against each other for a chance to win a bridal magazine's 'Most Original Wedding' contest in this indie film from writer/director Debbie Isitt.

After sifting through dozens and dozens of applications, Confetti magazine narrows the field of competitors to three couples. Josef and Isabelle are a couple who find love on the tennis court (actually they're obsessed with the sport). Michael and Joanna are naturists who want 'nude' to be the theme of their wedding. Matt and Sam are probably the most normal/average couple of the bunch, although Sam has some real issues with her overbearing family.

The Bonus Features

The Confetti DVD includes lots of extra footage of the three couples going through the last few weeks leading up to their weddings. In fact there's so much extra footage it appears the movie could have been a 2-parter had it all been included. The DVD also offers viewers the choice of selecting which couple will win the contest.
