2009 Action Movies
2008 brought us an amazing amount of superhero films, including one of the best reviewed films of the genre - "The Dark Knight." 2009 doesn't in any way compare to what 2008 served up superhero-wise, but it does have its fair share of action-heavy films, summer popcorn movies, and a couple of highly anticipated comic book-inspired films.

Jodelle Ferland and Jennifer Tilly sign on to star in the movie "Tideland," directed by Terry Gilliam.

John Madden will direct the movie "Killshot" for Miramax Films.

Nick Lachey has signed on to star in the indie film "The Hard Easy," to be directed by Ari Ryan.

THINKFilm has acquired distribution rights to the movie "10 Item or Less" starring Morgan Freeman and Paz Vega and directed by Brad Silberling.

This romantic drama/comedy starring Paul Reiser, Matthew Modine, and Randy Quaid was selected as one of my "Video Picks of the Week."
