"Drag Me to Hell" (2009)
Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is an ambitious L.A. loan officer with a charming boyfriend, professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush arrives at the bank to beg for an extension on her home loan. Should Christine follow her instincts and give the old woman a break? Or should she deny the extension to impress her boss, Mr. Jacks, and get a leg-up on a promotion? Christine fatefully chooses the latter, shaming Mrs. Ganush and dispossessing her of her home. In retaliation, the old woman places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine, transforming her life into a living hell. Haunted by an evil spirit and misunderstood by a skeptical boyfriend, she seeks the aid of seer Rham Jas to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help the shattered Christine return her life to normal, the psychic sets her on a frantic course to reverse the spell. As evil forces close in, Christine must face the unthinkable: how far will she go to break free of the curse?
Movie Review: "Drag Me to Hell"
Odds are horror fans aren't going to need any encouragement to drag themselves to a theater to see "Drag Me to Hell." But just in case you need prompting, let me tell you Sam Raimi's return to directing a horror film is everything you could have asked for and more.

Alison Lohman Talks About "Drag Me to Hell"
Alison Lohman felt like she quite literally got dragged to hell while filming Universal Pictures' "Drag Me to Hell," Sam Raimi's return to the horror genre. Lohman was sold on the idea of playing a woman who turns down a gypsy for a bank loan extension after getting a rundown on the story from Raimi. But Raimi neglected to tell Lohman just how physical things were going to get on the set.

Justin Long Discusses "Drag Me to Hell"
Justin Long was a big fan of Sam Raimi's before getting involved in Raimi's return to horror. Long says he grew up with "Evil Dead 2" and "Army of Darkness," and then watched as Raimi's career grew with "The Gift" and "A Simple Plan." It was because he was a big follower of Raimi's that Long really wanted to be a part of "Drag Me to Hell," and he didn't care what Raimi had in store for him.
