The man behind the megahit movie "Finding Nemo" - writer/director Andrew Stanton - was one of the presenters at the 17th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala Awards. Stanton was there to present composer Thomas Newman with the Festival's Frederick Loewe Award for Composing. Newman, whose recent credits include Sam Mendes' military drama "Jarhead" and the Ron Howard/Russell Crowe collaboration "Cinderella Man," worked with Stanton on "Finding Nemo" and Stanton said he was honored to be the one asked to give the special award to Newman.

Appearing delighted to be on the red carpet at the prestigious Palm Springs black tie event, Stanton wasn't able to disclose the name of the project he's currently working on or even give hints as to the subject matter. However he was more than happy to talk about a few of his films while waiting to be called up on stage at the Palm Springs Convention Center for the special presentation:
