Maybe the girls he really falls for. But it was funny when I was writing the first movie, I thought it was really funny because he goes out with these girls. I saw the first American Gigolo years ago. It was like when I saw American Gigolo, it was ridiculous because its super models going out with, meeting and hiring gigolos. Its just ridiculous. It was insane. Its a way to sell Armani clothes, the only reason this movie [exists] - and it doesnt hold up, really doesnt. I remember thinking, Who really needs to hire a gigolo? Its anyone whos going to be seven and a half feet tall, have enormous feet or have uncontrollable swearing disorder. So that was kind of the impetus to write the first one. Rob Schneider on a Third Deuce Movie: Is it even a remote possibility? According to Schneider, yes it is. If this one goes [well], if they go bananas for this one then you might see Deuce III Time Whore. If they go bananas only, said Schneider adding, What I like about it is I think this movie is so relentless and so out there that I think we might even get some decent reviews finally. Who knows? Im always an optimist. Rob Schneider on Being a Workaholic: You know what? There is something to that. For so many years I was just trying to get jobs and I remember thinking, Im never going to get a job. Im never going to work. And then all of a sudden you get a job and youre so happy to do it. When we got on Saturday Night Live, when Adam got hired there we couldnt get on. We were hired as writers, which is the best thing because then we really had to write good stuff. And I remember them telling us, How are you going to get on here? Because we see other guys doing movies and stuff like that and I had no problem. I loved writing for Phil Hartman, for Dana Carvey and these other guys, Mike Myers and Chris Farley. However, its like, If you can come up with something you can do better than these guys, well let you do it. And sure enough they were right. I came up with the copy machine guy, Adam came up with the opera man and then boom. Honestly, its like for me - you never know when your next movie could be your last. So I will say its like for the first time in my career, if this movie works Ill feel like okay. I can relax just a little bit. But, you know, after The Hot Chick, I couldnt get a job for like a year. It was tough. The only person who wanted to hire me after The Hot Chick was Adam Sandler. I have a problem saying it. He was the only guy who wanted to hire me doing Ula. Rob Schneider on The Hot Chick and Rachel McAdams: Well I tell you, thats a nice movie and it has a life of its own. I love that its certain kids favourite movie. I made that for my 13 year old daughter whos like You know, theres a great line in the movie which is [when] he - you know, me - in the body of a girl in the body of my body telling this other girl, You dont need a guy to make you feel good about yourself, to make you feel beautiful. That was really nice and girls can really relate to that. Its a sweet movie. And all - if the critics hated that movie or not, Roger Ebert hated it but not one critic said they didnt believe me as a woman. So for me it was a gigantic success. And Rachael McAdams is great. She would have made it with me or without me. Im just glad that, you know, I had her for that first movie. Rob Schneider on Taking It Personally: Critics arent always kind to Schneider and/or his movies. Does he take it personally when he reads a negative review? Schneider said, Sometimes. For me its been a blessing and a curse. A curse because if someones saying that youre horrible - some of the reviews are just vicious and the personal attacks on me. Some of them are just funny, actually. One of the guys says, The eye wanders to anywhere on the screen that Rob Schneider isnt. Ive got to cut that one out. Yes, theyre just vicious but it also frees me up because I dont have to try or worry about having to please these people because its been such a relief for me. Now I just try to make movies the way I think are funny. Rob Schneider on Future Plans to Work with Adam Sandler: Im going to play Prince Habebu in his next movie Click with Christopher Walken and Kate Beckinsale. Im going to play this crazy guy you wont recognise. Another Ula-type character, like 50 First Dates. I think his companys a big company now. I think hes had about six movies in a row that have done about $130 million. Just domestic. Hes done over $1 billion box office. The next one Im doing is Harve the Barbarian, which I dont think is with this production company. We might do it together.
