Guide Review - 'Definitely, Maybe' DVD Review
The StoryWhen divorced dad Will Hayes (Reynolds) picks up his 10-year-old daughter Maya (Breslin) from school, he gets the shock of his young life. Maya and her classmates have just gone through a sex education class and she's got plenty of questions - some of which are very uncomfortable. Will tries his best to answer Maya's questions as truthfully as possible, though it means bringing up parts of his past Maya was unaware of.
Instead of just explaining how he met her mother, Will decides to give Maya a brief history of his relationships with three very important women in his life. Without revealing which of the ladies is in fact Maya's mom, Will tells his daughter about the woman and makes her guess which one turned out to be her mother.
The Bonus Features
Ryan Reynolds joins writer/director Adam Brooks for a commentary track that's snappy and entertaining. Reynolds and Brooks share their memories of shooting the film in a manner that's informative yet fun. Also included on the Definitely, Maybe DVD are a batch of deleted scenes (nothing that should have been included in the movie) as well as a behind-the-scenes featurette with interviews with the cast and crew. And 'The Changing Times of Definitely, Maybe' bonus feature takes a look at how the makeup, hair, costumes, and set design where changed to reflect the passing of time.
