Director Tim Burton Interview - Dark Shadows and Frankenweenie
Filmmaker Tim Burton was on hand at the 2012 CinemaCon to promote two very different film projects. First, Burton took the stage to introduce clips from Dark Shadows, his latest collaboration with Johnny Depp. Burton also was at the annual gathering of theater owners to discuss the stop-motion family film, Frankenweenie, featuring the voices of Winona Ryder and Martin Short.
Backstage at the 2012 CinemaCon, we talked with Burton about why it's taken so long for him to make a feature length Frankenweenie movie out of his short film, how this version of Dark Shadows compares to the classic TV series, and how collaborating with Johnny Depp has changed over the years.
Dark Shadows hits theaters on May 11, 2012 and Frankenweenie will be released on October 5, 2012.
