Claire Danes Joins "The Flock"

Claire Danes is close to signing on to the movie "The Flock," a thriller to be directed by Andrew Lau and starring Richard Gere.

Gere has already committed to the project in which he'll play a federal agent who's training a new partner (Danes) while investigating a paroled sex offender. When a young girl goes missing, he's convinced her disappearance has something to do with the man he's investigating.

Philippe Martinez, Elie Samaha, Jenette Kahn, Adam Richman, and Lau will produce the film. "The Flock" was scripted by Hans Bauer and Craig Mitchell.

Claire Danes will next be seen in "Shopgirl" alongside Steve Martin. Danes is currently in production on the ensemble comedy, "The Family Stone," featuring Diane Keaton and Rachel McAdams.
