First came the sight of Tom Cruise jumping up and down on couches proclaiming his love for the much younger Katie Holmes. That was followed very shortly by Cruise and Holmes appearing together at dozens of publicity tour stops promoting their blockbuster films - "War of the Worlds" and "Batman Begins." Then to top it off, Cruise and Holmes (now nicknamed TomKat) got engaged in Paris back in June 2005.To further prove their relationship isn't a publicity stunt, they've taken the next big step. Cruise and Holmes are expecting their first child, according to reports by AP and People.
This will be Holmes' first child and Cruise's first biological child (he and ex-wife Nicole Kidman adopted two children during their 10 year marriage).
No wedding date has been announced and Cruise's publicist and sister, Lee Anne DeVette, did not confirm the couple's due date.
