Every media outlet on the planet is reporting the news of Hollywood's latest hot couple. Tom Cruise of the upcoming "War of the Worlds" and Katie Holmes from the heavily-anticipated "Batman Begins" film have apparently hooked up.Cruise, 42, and Holmes, 26, were photographed holding hands in Rome, sparking speculation of a budding romance. According to Reuters, publicists for the two stars have confirmed they are dating but won't disclose much more on the subject.
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman divorced in 2001 and since then he's only been linked to a couple of women. Cruise had a lengthy relationship with Penelope Cruz before the two broke it off in last year. He was recently linked to model-turned-actress Sofia Vergara.
Katie Holmes split from her fiancee Chris Klein of "American Pie" fame in February 2005. The couple had been close to marriage and had been together for five years before calling it quits.
