Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges isn't new to the entertainment industry, he's just an acting newbie. Being a newcomer to feature films, Ludacris was understandably amazed when the two movies he was in in 2005 were both nominated for Screen Actors Guild awards.

Ludacris earned SAG nominations for his roles in "Crash" and "Hustle & Flow." Both films picked up nominations in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category, which means Ludacris is in the enviable position of competing against himself for top honors.

And speaking of honors, the rapper-turned-actor was on hand at the 17th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival to show his support of Terrence Howard. Ludacris worked with Howard in both "Hustle & Flow" and "Crash" and made the trek to the So California desert resort town to watch Howard pick up the festival's Rising Star Award. Prior to taking part in the star-studded event, Ludacris spoke with me about "Crash" and the SAG awards:
